While you are cleansing your eyeballs from the horror originating from Orchard Park, I thought this might be good palate cleanser.

Don’t Panic
If I could write that in a particularly friendly, non-threatening type, I would.
Loved the complete Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Series. The combination of Monty Python meets Star Trek kept me engrossed through all five books of the trilogy (you heard me). It’s probably my favorite collection. The original author, Douglas Adams, developed the thing from a radio series and the rest is history. The movie was a little weak, but had some cool visuals, but the books keep you coming back for a visit now and again and stand up to a reread. In my halcyon days as a publicity hound for a book publisher, I actually got to meet Adams when he was promoting Last Chance to See. We chatted and he was nice enough to send me a signed copy when that non-fiction work came out.
Adams was planning another book for the Hitchhiker’s Series when he passed away in 2001. There have been Bond novels without Ian Fleming, so it shouldn’t be such a big deal and probably won’t be, but there is a certain there there, a unique flavor like “Happy Jack” being a quintessentially english song. Its inherent flavor is special. Just like you couldn’t do “Top Gear” on NBC, another voice might have a tall mountain to climb, but this might be okay:
If it stinks, we’ll just knock his house down to make way for an interstellar bypass.
