Watching the press conference introducing Terry Pegula as the Sabres new owner, I fully empathized with his hero worship of Gil Perreault. Old enough to having seen him play a bunch of times, when he got the puck to start a rush, the Aud would developed its own buzz and heartbeat in a way HSBC Arena never has.
Especially in the French Connection years, the show he could put on was something to see.
