When the world needs to calm down, perhaps more accurately, when I need the world to calm down, a retreat to Buffalo’s waterfront doesn’t disappoint.
It somehow has the ability to calm an overly busy mental remote control.
The sunlight on Lake Erie can do some amazing things. Occasionally I try to capture the picture nature paints, but nature has a few more pixels at its disposal. But still worth a shot, right?
The light itself can really put on a show.
Well, I was during part two of a video shoot for my day job. So, while the pro lined up his perfect hd images of some of my coworkers, I tried my hand too:

Sometimes you just got to play, disconnect and wander. Some of the most I’ve had lately was an awesome stroll through a largely unspoiled park nestled in the midst of Cheekatowaga.
Fun day in air that could definitely be described as fresh. Cold and rain was threatened but I couldn’t have cared less. There was a lot to see and listen to and my traveling partner and I took our own sweet time. It was pretty jarring to see the occasional goof with headphones on who was there for the sake of leaving as soon as possible.
I mean, got to enjoy the leaf crunch or the sound your shoe makes when yhe mud relents and lets you take it back.
Ready to go again.
I missed both “Breaking Bad” and the Bills game for a real good reason. I got outside. At this risk of this seemingly appearing to be a post featuring vacation shots, shaddup and behold the wonder of nature. You, you’re not beholding…..behold, dammit. (Okay, missed the Simpsons too).

This is cool, somehow naturalists got a camera on a peregrine falcon and a goshawk. That must have been a step by itself, but the resulting video will make you say clever things like “gosh.” Watch.
